Bose: Feel It

In 2020 Summer Studios composed the music for a global digital campaign for Bose. Working with Rasic & Partners and Gray we worked to a detailed brief to create 6 different iterations of a song we composed for the campaign. They all had to represent the personality of the people in each of the spots, and link together with a common musical motif to seamlessly link the Bose range together. The result was a unique, diverse campaign reflecting the emotion of each individual person in each of the spots.

Over the past year I’ve had the privilege of composing the score for the most important project we’ve worked on to date. It’s a 6 episode series called UNHEARD (Produced for Amazon Prime, by LAD Bible Studios Australia). In each episode we hear first-hand how racism in Australia destroys lives, and about the systems in place that sustainably hold down Indigenous Australians, people of colour, refugees, and ethnic minorities. Festival X - Summer 2022 Radio Spots

For their 2022 run of shows, we were approached to create a new creative series of radio ads for Festival X.

Despicable Me 3 - FX

We recently had the pleasure of collaborating with Jody Malam and EVO Films in the US for some FXX channel promos. FXX is FX Network's movie channel. In this execution we composed a hip hop song and put the spotlight on the trapping Minions. This was a lot of fun to make!

MTV Website Spot

MTV. Like Really, Real.

We were approached by MTV to direct a campaign designed to reignite viewer’s passion and excitement about their reality offering. And what better place than MTV for reality, after all they invented the format with ‘The Real World’ in the 90’s. Along with the MTV team, we took the real concept and really ran with it. Embracing it, poking fun at it, and having a laugh the whole time. Summer co-directed the spots with MTV, we promo produced the spots and edited them to a bespoke music track we made for the campaign. The track had to be punchy, memorable and fresh sounding. We then collaborated with Hank Mango as they brought it to life with some super fresh motion graphics. Overall the campaign went down a treat! Now shhhh! I’m trying to binge the new series of Catfish.

Brother: At Your Side

We got the opportunity to work on a fun little series of spots for Brother. Summer Studios was charged with the music composition. The theme was duplication and repetition. We were briefed to compose a music track influenced by the repetitive drone of office operations, and recontexturalise it into a fun, energetic electro track.

Bose x Wallabies

Bose have just come on board as the official audio partner of Australia’s rugby team, the Qantas Wallabies. We took care of editing, video post and music composition for their first piece of communication about the multi year branding deal. The result was a suspenseful spot that builds to the climax. With Bose wireless noise cancelling headphones, you can allow yourself some peace before taking the field. The calm before the storm.

We brought along our maturity out for this “not at all crass” song based promo for Naked Attraction season 2. The dating show where you find love based on their bits and butts… We took care of the scriptwriting, editing and design work too. Warning: rude parts and naughty words.

MTV Upload Rebrand

Summer Studios composed and produced the music for the MTV Upload Rebrand. We also designed the logo and style guide for the MTV Upload brand. The super talented Kat Churchill brought the idea to life with these amazing character animations.
